In 2020 I had to get serious about my health and my weight. I researched a lot and found The Obesity Code by Dr. Jason Fung that explained in great detail the benefits of fasting for your health and healing and also for weight.bI lost over 60 pounds and have maiintained that and am now working on the last few pounds.

I have always loved cooking (and eating). One thing I have learned as I eat less often is that when I do eat, it has to be what I call “meal worthy.” I don’t want to waste any bites on food that is not absolutely delicious!

The other challenge is that I want every bite to be as good for me as possible. There are lots of opinions about what that means, but for me it means keeping things low in carbs and low on the glycemic index so I don’t spike my blood sugar or insulin any more than possible. That is all explained by Dr. Fung in the book.
